Bakson's Hydrastis Canadensis is a homoeopathic dilution which has a marked action on the mucus membranes, relaxing them. It helps to prevent the production of a thick, yellowish, ropy mucus with a tendency to haemorrhage and ulceration. It produces atonic, cachectic and degenerative conditions, and hence, it is especially suited in old, easily tired people, cachectic individuals with great debility, poor digestion and obstinate constipation. Catarrh may be present in any part - throat, stomach, uterus and urethra. Mucus is found in the stools and urine; hence it can be called as a mucus remedy.
